You will see that the headline above that appeared in one of the world’s most prestigious newspapers is a complete reversal of the truth. The article is not about Christians spitting in Israel. It shows that is now commonplace in Israel for pious Jews to spit in the faces of Christians! I was reluctant to run this article on davidduke.com because it is so distasteful. I just can’t imagine anything more disgusting than spitting in someone’s face. That has to be the height of “hate speech†and it is a physical assault as well, a real hate crime if there ever was one! Many people reading it will at first not want to believe the substance of this article, as the American press seldom permits them to see the ugly, intolerant side of Judaism.

We hear a lot about the intolerance of Muslims or even the intolerance of American fundamentalist Christians, but the controlled media in America make sure we learn little about Jewish hatred toward Jesus Christ and Christians. Why? I think the answer is obvious. Jewish supremacists who dominate the media know that this kind of article is bad public relations for Israel and Judaism. They are rightfully worried that if Christians really knew how rabidly anti-Christian Israel really is, they wouldn’t blindly support the Jewish state. So, these articles go down what Orwell in his classic novel, 1984, called the Memory Hole.

Articles that expose Christian or Muslim religious tolerance are daily fare in newspapers across America and the world, but daring to run this article will cause me to undergo a torrent of criticism and the accusation of hosting a “hate†site. In America, if you expose White people or Christians or Muslims who are intolerant you are socially responsible. If you expose Jewish intolerance you are a “hater.â€

This short article is absolutely authentic and can be found in the respected Telegraph newspaper of London. I also include at the end of the article some words of the late Israeli rights activist Dr. Israel Shahak. Shahak was survivor of Nazi concentration camps and had courageously not shrunk from exposing injustice wherever he found it. He exposes a part of Judaism that few Christians know about in a land where the so-called free press in the service of Jewish chauvinists.

Christians spitting mad

Christians in Jerusalem have attacked what they say is the increasingly common phenomenon of ultra-orthodox Jews spitting on them.

The statement followed a brawl between an orthodox Jewish yeshiva (religious school) student and an Armenian archbishop.

They clashed in Jerusalem’s Old City after the student spat at a cross being carried by the clergyman during a procession near the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.

Archbishop Nourhan Manougian slapped the student and in the ensuing scuffle, his 17th century ceremonial medallion was broken.

Both were questioned by police and the student is facing charges. He has been banned from the Old City for 75 days. The Armenians say the action was inadequate.

Archbishop Manougian told an Israeli newspaper that Israeli leaders must speak out about the “daily†abuse. “When there is an attack against Jews anywhere, the Israeli government is incensed, so why when our religion and pride are hurt, don’t they take harsher measures?†he asked.

His critique has encouraged other Christian leaders to speak out, including a senior Greek Orthodox clergyman who has disclosed that he was recently approached by an elderly man wearing a skullcap who spat in his face.

Daniel Rossing, the director of a Jerusalem centre for Christian-Jewish dialogue, said there had been an increase in such incidents recently as “part of a general lack of tolerance".

I want you to also notice how even the reporting of the Jewish attacks on Christians is worded in a way that turns around the situation. First there is a headline that suggests Christians are spitting mad, which certainly gives the impression that Christians are doing the spitting and are full of anger or hatred. Next, the first line reads, “…Christians in Jerusalem have attacked what they say is the increasingly common phenomenon of ultra-orthodox Jews spitting on them.â€

Notice how its Christians who are “attacking.†A more accurate reporting would have been, “Christians upset about Jews spitting in their faces.†But, at least people in Britain had a chance to learn what is happening to Christians in Israel while people in America didn’t. I should also mention that the Jewish custom on spitting in connection with Jesus, Christians, crosses and churches is enshrined in Jewish tradition. I realize that may sound fantastic to some of you reading this, but it is true, you just have not heard about it until now. SPITTING ON THE CROSS

A statement by Professor Israel Shahak

Dishonouring Christian religious symbols is an old religious duty in Judaism. Spitting on the cross, an especially on the Crucifix, and spitting when a Jew passes a church, have been obligatory from around AD 200 for pious Jews.

In the past, when the danger of anti-Semitic hostility was a real one, the pious Jews were commanded by their rabbis either to spit so that the reason for doing so would be unknown, or to spit onto their chests, not actually on the cross or openly before the church.

The increasing strength of the Jewish state has caused these customs to become more open again but there should be no mistake: The spitting on the cross for converts from Christianity to Judaism , organized in Kibbutz Sa’ad and financed by the Israeli government is a an act of traditional Jewish piety. It does not cease to be barbaric, horrifying and wicked because of this! On the contrary, it is worse because it is so traditional, and much more dangerous as well, just as the renewed anti-Semitism of the Nazis was dangerous, because in part, it played on the traditional anti-Semitic past.

This barbarous attitude of contempt and hate for Christian religious symbols has grown in Israel. In the 1950s Israel issued a series of stamps representing pictures of Israeli cities. In the picture of Nazareth, there was a church and on its top a cross - almost invisible, perhaps the size of a millimeter. Nevertheless, the religious parties, supported by many on the Zionist “left†made a scandal and the stamps were quickly withdrawn and replaced by an almost identical series from which the microscopic cross was withdrawn.

Then there was the long-drawn-out battle about Christian influence in elementary arithmetic. Pious Jews object to the international plus sign for it is a cross, and it may in their opinion, influence little children to convert to Christianity. Another “explanation†holds: it would then be difficult to “educate†them to spit on the cross, if they become used to it in their arithmetic exercises.

Until the early 1970s two different sets of arithmetic books were used in Israel. One for the secular schools, employing an inverted “T†sign.. In the early ’70’s the religious fanatics “converted†the Labour Party to the great danger of the cross in arithmetic, and from that time, in all Hebrew elementary schools (and now many high schools as well) the international plus sign has been forbidden. Similar development is visible in other areas of education.

Teaching the ‘New Testament’ was always forbidden, but in the old time conscientious teachers of history used to circumvent the prohibition by organizing seminars or sending the students to libraries (not the school libraries, of course). About 10 years ago there was a wave of denunciations of such teachers. One in Jerusalem was almost sacked, for advising her history pupils, who were studying the history of Jews in Palestine around 30-40 AD, that it would be a good thing if they would read a few chapters of the ‘New Testament’ as a historical aid. She retained her post only after humbly promising not to do this again.

However in recent years, anti-Christian feelings are literally exploding in Israel (and among Israel-worshiping Jews in Diaspora too) together with the increase of the Jewish fanaticism in all other areas too. The real enemies of truth here, as in many other aspects of the Israel reality, are the socialists, “liberals", “radicals", etc. in the USA.

Imagine the reaction of the US Liberals, and of such papers as ‘The Nation’ and ‘New York Review of Books’, not to speak of the ‘New York Times’, if in any state whatsoever, the government financed spitting on a Star of David? But when here in Israel, the government finances the spitting on a cross, they are and will continue to be, quite silent. More than this, they help to finance it. United States taxpayers, who are of course mostly Christians, are financing at least half the Israeli budget, one way or another, and therefore the spitting on the cross too.

Professor Shahak was a prominent Israeli academic. He is founder of Israel’s Human Rights League and is the author of ‘Jewish History, Jewish Religion –The Weight of Three Thousand Years’. With a foreword by Gore Vidal, this work explores the core beliefs of Judaism (as expounded in the books of ‘The Talmud’ ) which though arcane, barbaric and redolent with hatred for all non-Jews and their religions, influence the the laws, internal politics and foreign policy of modern-day Israel and the conduct of Jews in the Diaspora. Mainstream leaders of public opinion in the gentile world, including Christian church leaders, have for decades been afraid to touch on these subjects fear of accusations of “anti-Semitism". Being a Jew himself and the former inmate of a Nazi concentration camp, Professor Shahak has no such inhibitions. Gentiles and Jews who are appalled by the hateful nature of Judaism owe this man a great debt.

Ik ken een Christen/moslim familie waarbij een moslimman met een katholieke vrouw getrouwd is. Zij is katholiek gebleven, maar helaas zijn de jonges besneden en hebben ze islamitische namen.

Want ik snap niet wat je bedoelt met 'Zo' Christen. Als je een kruisje zichtbaar draagt, dan maakt een tattoo meer je heus niet Christelijker.

God heeft meerdere gedaantes. Net zoals de griekse goden zich als beesten of mensen onder normale mensen konden wagen, deed God dat ook met Jezus. God laat zich ook zien als de heilige geest aan mensen in de gedaante van een duif. En Gods 'normale' gedaante is de gedaante van de Vader.

Is there an explanation for why Eastern Christians make the sign of the cross from the right should to the left, while Western Christians make the sign of the cross from the left shoulder to the right.

While it is generally known that Western Christians, until the 11th, 12th, or 13th centuries, originally made the sign of the cross in the same manner that Orthodox Christians do to this day, the exact reason as to why the Western Christians reversed this is not widely known.

When an Orthodox priests faces the people and blesses them, they literally trace his blessing on themselves as they make the sign of the Cross. Hence, the priest moves his hand from left to right, while the faithful touch their shoulders from right to left, thereby moving in the same direction at the same time.

For years I have been trying to find out the exact reason as to why the West reversed this on the part of the people, even though the priest blesses in the same direction as an Orthodox priest would. It seems to be one of those things that just happened, although I am no Church historian.

Three-Bar Cross

Could you explain the symbolism of the [shape of] the Orthodox Cross?

The significance of the three-bar cross is a simple one. The short bar on the top represents the sign that was placed on the cross which read, "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews" (in Latin the initials are "INRI"). The middle bar -- the longest -- is the bar upon which Our Lord's arms were stretched and nailed. The bottom bar is the footrest which supported Our Lord's body.

While many people popularly refer to this cross as a "Russian" cross, it actually predates the Christianization of Russia in 988 AD, although generally, in earlier depictions of the Crucifixion, the bottom bar is horizontal rather than angled. Very early depictions of the crucifixion, even those originating in Egypt, generally portray the triple bar cross. In certain parts of Central and Eastern Europe, the triple bar cross with a slanted footrest indicates that a given church is an Orthodox one, while a triple bar cross with a horizontal footrest indicates that a given church is a Byzantine Rite, or Greek Catholic, one.

Various reasons have been given for slanting the bottom bar. There is one tradition which states that, at the moment of His death, Our Lord's foot slipped and the footrest tilted. A highly symbolic interpretation states that the slanted bar refers to the thief crucified on Our Lord's right side -- the "Wise Thief" who repented -- who went to heaven and to the unrepentant thief crucified on Christ's left side who did not. Another explanation is that the slant is an attempt to depict that the footrest slanted downward, toward the viewer, albeit in a two, rather than three, dimensional form.

Het is nou eenmaal algemeen bekend dat bepaalde mensen achter de schermen in de media niet het beste voorhebben met Orthodoxe Christenen. Zo krijgen Griekenland, Rusland en Servië vrijwel altijd slechte newscoverage. Als er een stel krakers een anti-VS demo houden in Griekenland haalt het vrijwel altijd de avondniews om hen zo in kwaad daglicht te stellen. Het feit dat Yukos aangepakt werd, wordt als een schande gezien. Terwijl de eigenaar (khorokovski spelling?) geprofiteerd heeft van de malaise waarin Rusland verkeerde na de val van de SU en zo van het volk profiteerde en daarbovenop kwam nog eens dat hij zijn belasting formulier niet netjes invulde. Het meest recente voorbeeld is die van Rusland waarbij Putin zwaar bekritiseerd wordt om zijn terrorismewet waarbij autoriteiten verregaande mogelijkheden krijgen. Terwijl er al jaren zo'n wet in de VS ingevoerd is, alleen hoor je daar niks over. Of ben ik nu paranoïde?

Alle drie de Gezichten hebben evenveel Goddelijke identiteit, er is tussen hen geen jongste of oudste.

De verschillen zijn alleen dat De Vader niet geboren wordt en nergens uit voortkomt. De zoon wordt geboren uit de Vader en de Heilige Geest komt voort uit de Vader.

Goede zaak dat er allerlei verschillende meningen op dit forum verkondigd worden. Juist hierdoor is discussie mogelijk. Waar ik me wel aan stoor is dat bepaalde, vaak seculiere, gebruikers in allerlei topics, te pas en te onpas, hun mening verkondigen. Dat verpest niet alleen de desbetreffende topics, maar het leidt ook vaak tot flamewars etc.

Dus, alle gebruikers zijn welkom, mits ze een beetje rekening houden met de rest.

De Orthodoxe landen moeten een soort pan-Orthodoxe Unie gaan vormen die zowel maatschappelijk als economisch als militair de banden zou moeten versterken. Want de geschiedenis heeft ons geleerd dat zowel de katholieken als de moslims de Orthodoxen zullen aanvallen als de kans daartoe krijgen.

Off-topic: Vandaag vroeg iemand op het werk aan mij of ik Yugoslavisch ben.

En darbij hoor je je ook nog eens aan de Bijbelse normen en waarden te houden. Zo ken ik ook nog eens een paar 'Christenen' die heilig in God geloven maar toch fietsen jatten, vreemdgaan, drugs gebruiken. Jezus aanvaarden als je verlosser is niet het enige wat je moet doen. Je moet ook volgens de Bijbel leven.

Dus alleen in God geloven is niet voldoende. Zo zal een 'gelovige' die Gods wet niet in acht neemt net zo in hel branden als een niet-Christen.

Zijn alle moslims onze vijanden?

En ik denk dat zelfmoord het allerlaatste is wat je moet proberen. Samson had eigenlijk geen keus. Hij was vastgeketend en blind. Zijn alternatief van zijn leven doorbrengen als een circusact. Hij had voor zelfmoord gekozen.
