Kan iemand mij vertellen(dit is een vraag die me eerder vanavond te binnen kwam), zijn er metal songs die in de positieve zin over liefde gaan, en ook een positieve uitstraling hebben? Ik ben er nog geen tegengekomen, niet in mijn metal tijdperk, en ook niet erna.

Mwah, echt positief... Voor het genre is dat wel lastig. Als je het echt evangeliserend wil hebben kom je snel bij de 'softere' metal uit. Als daar je voorkeur ligt, perfect! Anders zul je genoegen moeten nemen met wat cryptischere teksten

Welke albums van ze heb je geluisterd?

Sowieso vind ik dat de doodstraf aan enkele eisen zou moeten voldoen:

- Executie moet volstrekt (desnoods onder narcose) pijnloos worden uitgevoerd

- Executie mag niet dienen alszijnde straf of uit wraak. De straf zou het ontnemen van vrijheid moeten zijn. Dus eerst 20 jaar opsluiten voor de executie plaats vindt.

- De daad van de veroordeelde moet dusdanig gruwelijk zijn dat levenslange gevangenis straf niet in verhouding staat met de daad die hij gepleegd heeft.

- Executie moet alleen dienen om een betere leefomstandigheid te creëren

Kans op herhaling vind ik (op zichzelfstaand) geen argument voor de doodstraf. Levenslang voldoet dan prima.

In theorie ben ik voor de doodstraf. In de praktijk, vanwege omkopingen, menselijk falen, mazen, etc, ben ik er op tegen. Iemand per ongeluk ter dood veroordelen is onomkeerbaar en vooral niet uit te leggen.

Hmm, lastig.

Enerzijds zitten er erg prettige stukjes in maar anderszijds zitten er stukken in waar ik weinig mee kan. Stukken waardoor je de rode draad een beetje kwijt raakt.

En ik mis een beetje de samenhangede sfeer; het zijn allemaal leuke stukjes maar ik vind ze niet heel erg goed op elkaar aan sluiten.

Daarbij mis ik een een soort van opbouwende climax; het is een instrumentaal stuk waarbij je, denk ik?, wat wil uitbeelden\vertellen, maar dat ontgaat mij een beetje. Maar dat heeft misschien ook wel met het vorig genoemde punt te maken.

Maar, ik weet niet of dit als instrumentaal stuk bedoeld is of dat er nog zanglijnen bijkomen. Want dat kan natuurlijk de boel al veranderen

Maar laat je niet afleiden door de feedback; ik was positief verrast

Yeah, God zij geprezen! Weer n fijne Christelijke metalband ontdekt Ben normaal niet zo van de metalcore (zelfs helemaal niet), en helaas is veel van de Christelijke metal metalcore, maar deze band trek ik wel: The Burial.

Ik ben wel van de metalcore over het algemeen, maar dit vind ik weer niks. Maar vind je As I Lay Dying dan niks?

Ik ben ervan overtuigd dat zelfdoding een zware zonde is. Een zonde waar je in ieder geval op aarde geen vergeving meer voor kan vragen, en dus niet ontvangen. Ik kan slechts hopen dat Gods oordeel dan barmhartig is.

Is de kans sowieso niet erg groot dat we sterven zonder vergeving te hebben ontvangen voor onze zonden? Wat maakt zelfmoord dan verschillend?

Het bestaat al jaren ja. Heb jij ook inzendingen gestuurd?

Maar dit moet haast wel writeonly zijn. Ik kan me nauwelijks voorstellen (überhaupt om dit zonder obfuscator te schrijven ) dat je dit 2 maanden na dato terug kan lezen.
